Brooloo is a small town hidden in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, being the southernmost town of the Gympie Shire, only around 14km north of Kenilworth and 4km south of Imbil. There are some lovely treasures around, like for example the Bellbird Park that is fronting the forestry near the overgrown old railway, where you can sit in peace under trees and listen to the Bellbirds as long as your heart desires.  We are pretty easy going community and we don’t even worry that the Brooloo Bluff is called the Kenilworth Bluff when viewed from the Kenilworth side.

As a community we aspire to provide many opportunities for Brooloo people to participate in a variety of community activities and work towards common goals, while having fun doing it. As our hall is currently out of bounds, we use the hall grounds and gardens to meet, share and exchange in a relaxed environment. If you live in Brooloo and its surrounds we welcome you to join in in the fun and attend our next gathering.

What's new in Brooloo

Brooloo Community now has an online forum for everyone to be able to interact online, if they wish.

Recently (19th Oct 2010) Southern Cross University held a village forum in Brooloo at the Hall Grounds. Brooloo residents attending were in general agreement with the report and recommendations, and all in all it was a nice fun evening.

And if you are still not pleased with all that this community has to offer after reading throughout this website, please read our motto: "Don't tell us what we should do, tell us how you can help us do it."

Brooloo Community Survey Results

At our last gathering at the end of May (2010), we took a survey to help us determine what we would like to do as a community. The result was a lot of great ideas, suggestions and projects. The top four were:

Community Hall/rail carriage/shed – 9 people
Trail to Bellbird park (and Imbil) – 5 people
Outdoor space for community – 4 people
Planting of community edible fruit etc – 3 people
